At OS, we think of home as more than an aesthetic construct that shelters its residents - more than the dreams of a family, or the art and science of the architect.

At OS, home is an ambient environment that infuses our existence with the essential elements for recharging, balancing, and devotion. We design homes for coming and going, gathering and entertaining, waking and sleeping, work and play. We collaborate with our clients to create homes that enhance their practical lifestyles and fulfill their wildest dreams.

We believe that the simple act of walking through a well designed home, as it responds to the passing day and perennial seasons, should be a worthy experience. Our commitment to sustainability reflects our reverence for the east end’s incomparable natural beauty.

Nilay finds creative expression in the many contrasts and contradictions of his field. He is an architect who finds inspiration as a builder.  He is a consummate insider who has worked for fifteen years on the East End, yet brings an outsiders perspective as a result of his upbringing in India.  Nilay and Peter, a fellow traveller who seeks similar creative contrast, founded Oza Sabbeth Architecture as an expression of this sensibility.

Nilay is a LEED accredited Licensed Architect with a Masters Degree in Architecture from MIT. When not designing and building his own home, Nilay practices ashtanga yoga. Nilay lives with his wife and two young daughters in Sag Harbor.

Peter was a fine art painter in the mid 90’s when he first started designing and building loft spaces in Brooklyn’s Dumbo neighborhood. In 2008, Peter moved east and founded Modern Green Home, where he helped transform the “traditional” Hamptons building industry through dozens of modern, sustainable projects. In 2014, Peter met Nilay, and their common passion for both design and construction led to a fast friendship and ultimately partnership in 2015

Peter is a graduate of Tufts University, a 9-year member of the US Green Building Council, Skateboard Designer, trans-oceanic sailor, tea crafter, and father of two boys. He lives in Sag Harbor.
